Our
Story

Darren and Helen live in Costa Rica with their two adult children and began life here living in San Jose where their daughter went to finish her schooling.
They have travelled extensively and found Costa Rica to be the place closest to their hearts. After travelling to many locations they decided to settle in the magical beachside town of Montezuma.
Accommodation offerings include a one bedroom apartment tucked out of the way providing tranquil privacy yet close to the saltwater pool. Additionally there are two small two bedroom houses, or 'casitas' in Spanish. Both are fully equipped with utility rooms, bathrooms with hot mixer showers, a double bedroom and twin room. Rear gardens and access to the saltwater pool are also included.
They have a great interest in the natural world and the abundant wildlife of Costa Rica and want to help share the wonder of the country with like-hearted travellers and visitors. Much of the wildlife regularly visit the gardens here.
With much of Costa Rica under threat from developers their aim is to help conserve the local area from further development and hope to collaborate with others to create wildlife corridors and bridges. It is also their hope to protect animals from power lines by fund raising to insulate cables and transformers. This will help enable the safe travel of the various Howler and Capuchin Monkey families who live in the area. Thanks to local breeding programs, Scarlet Macaws and green parrots now frequent the trees and skies around the area and need protecting so that they can breed more successfully in the wild.
They would love to share their space and help you relax and unwind from the daily routine. For those booking four nights or more, Darren and Helen offer a complimentary sound immersion journey for all guests should they wish to join them. Private sound journeys can be additionally booked upon request.
